Please support this wonderful opportunity for young musicians to learn and perform exciting and challenging classical and contemporary orchestral music. Because of cutbacks in school music programs, the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony is currently the only full orchestra for children and teens in Santa Cruz County. We are reaching out to the Santa Cruz community to spread the word about our talented young musicians and to find support for what is truly a unique community resource. Donate here. Annual fund gifts are extremely important in helping the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony close the gap between tuition income and actual operational costs. Gifts received from annual appeals or solicitations are used to meet operating expenses, such as music programming, financial aid, rehearsal space rental, concert production costs, workshops, music purchases, and instrument maintenance. Many corporations support their employees by matching gifts to nonprofits of their choice. Please check with your company to see if they have a matching program and a form you may send in with your gift to SCCYS. This is a relatively easy way to increase your impact on our programs.

Gifts may be made in honor or in memory of someone special. Note cards advising the honoree or family members of your gift can be mailed at the time a gift is received by the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony if proper contact information is provided with your gift.

If you purchase a prepaid New Leaf E-Card through the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony, we receive 5% of the funds! It is simple, easy, and there are no costs to you. For more information, please see our New Leaf E-Cards page.

Your unique set of skills can help the Youth Symphony reach out to other possible students or bring community awareness to the organization. Maybe you have a creative side and would like to help us in our event planning. Consider purchasing an advertisement for our Fall and Spring concert programs. Ads range in price from $60 to $400. Recent concert attendance has been more than 250 — a great way to reach local families while you help support our programs. For more information, contact info@sccys.org.

You can make a significant contribution to the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony and receive tax benefits as well by designating the Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony as a beneficiary in your will, living trust, retirement plan, or insurance policy.
