Concert band, orchestra, jazz band, piano and guitar in the redwoods in Cazadero, CA.
Cazadero’s core program consists of five hours each day of small and large group instruction in
Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble or Concert Band. Also offered: Classical and jazz piano, and classical
guitar, as well as an All Camp Choir for our Young Musicians and Middle School Sessions.

La Honda Music Camp

Orchestras, wind ensembles, jazz in the Santa Cruz mountains.
Hayward La Honda Music Camp is a eight-day camp for young musicians. Located at the
beautiful YMCA Camp Jones Gulch in La Honda, California, the camp serves students
throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond in grades 6 through 12. With over ten large
ensembles and a variety of music electives, the camp provides campers with many performance
opportunities and a supportive setting to develop their musicianship. The picturesque location
also provides a classic summer camp experience with many recreation activities.

Zephyr Point Chamber Music Camp

South Lake Tahoe
Enjoy a fun and intensive week of chamber music, located at Lake Tahoe.
Each student performs in two ensembles, with each rehearsing for 2 hours. Groups perform at
least twice during the week, with the coaches performing as members of the ensemble. One
week is family camp and the other week is for older teens.

Redwood Music Teen Camp – Community Music School of Santa Cruz

This unique residential program places teenage musicians (12-18) in a beautiful
outdoor setting with professional musicians. Teens learn to play Celtic folk
music, but more importantly, they spend a week with other teen musicians in a
supportive environment, and with a strong sense of community. Students
practice and perform in instrument-specific groups, in small bands, and with the
entire camp. For players of fiddle, flute, penny whistle, recorder, clarinets, harp,
autoharp, guitar, mandolin, dulcimer, accordion, keyboards, percussion, Irish
tenor banjo, and cello. Other activities include vocal training, Scottish dance,
movie night, a barn dance, crafts, a talent show, and lots of jamming.

Young Artists Orchestra, age 14-19
The Young Artists Orchestra (YAO) has earned the reputation as one of the preeminent
summer youth orchestra training programs in the nation. Under the guidance of

members, students experience high-quality training through intensive study and
performance of orchestral and chamber music, private lessons, and master classes.
